Delete your account

How to permanently delete your The Belly Button account and all associated data.

Heads up: account deletion is permanent. We cannot recover deleted accounts, notification groups, contact lists, labor-event history, photos, or purchase records. If you've paid for the $4.99 mother unlock, deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund (see Apple's refund policy for purchase refunds).

Option 1 — Delete in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app.

1Open The Belly Button.
2Go to Settings → scroll to Danger Zone.
3Tap Delete Account.
4Confirm by entering the word DELETE when prompted, then tap Permanently Delete.

Your account is removed from our authentication system immediately, and your profile, notification groups, contacts, labor events, and stored photos are deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email request

If you can't access the app — for example, because you've already uninstalled it, lost access to the device, or are no longer able to sign in — you can request deletion by email.

1Send an email to admin@chemmoholdings.com from the email address associated with your account.
2Use the subject line "Account deletion request — The Belly Button".
3In the body, confirm: "I request permanent deletion of my The Belly Button account and all associated data."

We will verify the request using the email address on file and confirm completion within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

What gets deleted

What we may retain

We may retain certain records where required by law — for example, tax records related to your $4.99 purchase, or anonymized statistics that no longer identify you. We may also retain SMS or email delivery logs at our service providers (Twilio, SendGrid) for the retention periods those providers maintain, which are typically 30 to 90 days and outside our direct control. None of this retained information is used for any purpose other than legal compliance and service operation.

Refunds

The $4.99 mother unlock is processed by Apple, not by us, so refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly:

Apple makes the final decision on refunds; we do not have visibility into approval or rejection.
