The Belly Button is a labor-day notification app for expectant mothers. Setting up who to tell that labor has started — and keeping them updated through the birth — is stressful and easy to get wrong in the moment. The Belly Button does it for her: she builds her notification circle ahead of time, and on the day, a single tap reaches everyone the way each person prefers (push notification, text message, or email), in the order and timing she chose.
Add the people who should know — your care team (OB-GYN, midwife, doula), your partner, close family, and friends — and choose how to reach each one: push, SMS text, or email. Group them into tiers so the care team hears first and extended family a little later.

The mother unlocks the full app with a single $9.99 purchase that covers the entire pregnancy. It does not auto-renew — there are no recurring subscription charges, no upsells, and no ads. Partners, care providers, and notification recipients use the app for free and never see a paywall.
Text (SMS) is one of the ways recipients can be reached. It is used only to deliver the personal labor notifications the mother triggers — never marketing. Recipients are people the mother has added with permission, every message identifies who it is from, and anyone can reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. No. Push notifications require the app, but recipients reached by text message or email do not need to install anything.
